Bank of Africa Ghana Limited, also referred to as BOA Ghana, is a commercial bank in Ghana. It is one of the commercial banks licensed by Bank of Ghana, the central bank of Ghana, and the national banking regulator. The bank has26 Branches. BOA Ghana is a large financial services provider in Ghana.
Typically, in each of the banking halls, Bank of Africa procures a TV used as marketing communication display via a USB Pen Drive, and Dot Matrix FX Rate Board. The Bank was limited using the TVs to showcase their products since the TVs can’t be managed remotely, and a lot was been spent maintaining the FX Rate Board, which is maintenance/service dependent. Bank of Africa needed modern approach that is proficient and also cost effective.
The Proxynet Team was engaged to look into the challenge. Using their existing TVs, a low cost TV network module by Intel were procured, converting the TVs to an IP Display Screen. We also designed a Custom REEL Application (an in-house content management system specially built for the banking sector) to manage the screens. The created template was able to display marketing content and FX Rate information real-time.
Bank of Africa now enjoys a proficient and cost effective solution – managing both FX rate and marketing/corporate communication all in one screen.
